Robin Fuhrman
Robin Fuhrman, though born in southern Wisconsin, lived in New Jersey for about 7yrs as a young child. Moving back to Wisconsin, she attended junior high and high school in Appleton, graduating from Appleton East in 1973. She met Greg at Arthur Murray’s in Oshkosh, where they both trained to be ballroom dance instructors. When married, they lived in Milwaukee for 2yrs as dance instructors, and then moved to Fond du Lac, where they raised their 2 daughters and currently enjoy their grandchildren.
Attending church and Sunday school as a child, Robin believed in God. She understood that Jesus died for the sins of the world, yet had no idea what that meant in her own life. At age 29, she encountered God in very real and personal ways through the working of the Holy Spirit in the midst of her circumstances and relationships. She was empty, desperate, plagued with fear and shame. But in surrendering her life to Christ she found joy, peace, freedom, and fulfillment in Him.
While growing in Christ, Robin discovered that prayer is worship, and worship is prayer. Consequently in 2001, she couldn’t wait to get to the first Women’s Prayer Summit in Green Lake WI. Since then, the only Women’s Summit she has missed, is when Greg had hip replacement surgery. In 2015, Robin joined the servant leader team of We-Pray.
In her church, Robin has led a Creative Arts Team for the last 24yrs, mentoring youth and adults in “ offering their bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God…..their reasonable service of worship.” Together, the team offers a worship experience uniting dance, drama, banners, and pageantry. Inspired by the truths of scripture, they give visual to the grace and love, splendor and majesty of the Lord God and His Kingdom.
